The Missouri lottery is warning players not to fall for a national lottery mail scam. The mailings were purported to be from National Publishers Clearing House and Mega Million Clearing House, both of which list the Missouri Lottery’s headquarters as their own. The scam claims that recipients were drawn as winners in a Summer 2015 Promotional campaign and include a cashier’s check used to pay insurance and processing fees. The Missouri Lottery never requires players to provide money in order to claim a prize. Lottery players should beware of the scams that are rampant with the lottery. Please call Stoltmann Law Offices at 312-332-4200 if you believe you have been a victim of a lottery scam or mail fraud. We may be able to help you recover your losses.
